Daily reasons to quit your job and go your own way
Because you wouldn’t just watch television
Economists, sociologists and philosophers confidently predict that without work, we’d all just stay home and play video games, scroll through social media or watch television.
It’s true that too often, you’re so exhausted by work that you have no energy, come those last hours of the evening or the weekend, for anything other than video games, social media or television.
Without work, though, you know it would be different: you’d write, film, hike, climb, sail, swim, invent, carve, draw; you’d talk, drink, cook, grow, dance; you might even conceive theories of economics, sociology and philosophy that are a little less consdescending towards non-economists, non-sociologists and non-philosophers.
