Daily reasons to quit your job and go your own way
Because you’re in your forties
There’s no scarier time to quit your job and start living your true life than when you’re in your forties.
You’re finally getting somewhere in your career.
You’re in an important position in the organization where you work. You could probably be in an even more important position if you were to get that promotion you’ve been after for a while, or if you defected to another organization.
You’re bringing in good money, more money than you ever imagined you’d earn. You could probably bring in even more, with that promotion or that defection.
Your life is comfortable. Your house is nearly paid for. Your children’s education is nearly paid for. Your retirement will take a little longer to pay for, but that’s all the more reason to keep the money coming in.
Everything’s settled.
You’re not going to throw it all away now.
And yet, if you don’t start living your true life now, you’ll forever be living this one.
I don’t want to be brutal, but you have less time than you think.
If you don’t quit your job soon, you’ll be doing what you’re doing until you retire.
If you want your life’s work to be what you’re doing now, then go on doing what you’re doing.
If not, you need to quit your job and start living your true life now.
